Our History
The Hobson Company, Realtors, is a family owned residential real estate business founded in 1972 by the late Jane and Joel Hobson, and owned and managed today by their son, Joel Hobson III. We take pride in having the most experienced and productive agents in the Memphis market. Our agents average more sales per agent than any company in Memphis, with over $5.5 million in sales per year, per agent. In addition, our agents average over 17 years residential real estate experience. No other company in Memphis can compare to this record.
Our Life
The strength of our company is its foundation of honesty and integrity. That means telling someone the truth about the value of his home when it would be easier to tell him what he wants to hear. Some people might call us a “niche” or “boutique” broker, as we do handle an unusually large share of the upper end market. However, we take equal pride in providing outstanding service to our clientele, no matter the price range, including many first time home buyers. While we might be known best for our Midtown and East Memphis properties, Hobson agents are experts in Downtown, Germantown, Collierville, Cordova, Bartlett, and the less populated areas of Shelby, Fayette and Tipton counties.
